Gary defends the St. Louis Police Pension as the Mayor and Alderman were trying to appropriate the funds. The city of St. Louis was attempting to balance their budget on the backs of the Police Pension Fund. The fiscally responsible police officers defeated the democratic attempts to control our pension.

In 2019 a group of college educators, lobbyists and moneyed interests formed Better Together to merge St. Louis County and St. Louis City. The Plan was to merge police departments, schools districts, eliminate municipalities and name convicted criminal Mark Stenger as the overall Mayor.
A group of grassroots fiscally concerned citizens Jennifer Bird-Chairman, Gary Wiegert-Treasurer, Attorney Jack Spooner, Newscaster Mark Cox, Nicole Jenkins, Amy Poelker, Bob Pieper and Peter Pfeifer formed Stop Merger to counter their attempt.
After defeating the Better Together proposed legislation through town hall meetings, media interviews, street sign waves, testifying at state and local government hearings this issue lay dormant for 7 years, while we kept the PAC (Political Action Committee) active. Bad ideas never go away and are now being proposed by County Executive Sam Page, St. Louis City Mayor Cara Spencer and democratic State Representative Ian Mackay.

2024 Gary Wiegert elected head of the convention by the majority and sends his Delegates to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and to the Electoral College which guaranteed republican votes for Trump.
In 2015 as a board member of the St. Louis Tea Party, we joined forces with Ed Martin and the Phyllis Schlafly Eagle Forum in support of Donald J. Trump. As a result Ed Martin and Jasha McQueen were the featured speakers at the Trump Rally at Kiel Auditorium.
I was recruited by the National Trump campaign as Coordinator for Congressional District #1 (North County and City of St. Louis), Jennifer Bird CD#2 (South/West St. Louis County) and Brenda Webb CD#3 (St. Charles). We were given only 2 guidelines. Win the caucus and choose delegates to the National Convention who would support Donald J. Trump in case of a brokered convention.
The campaign sent me a list of 40,000 Trump supporters who attended a Trump rally in Missouri and armed with that list I successfully won the CD#1 Caucus and Convention under the TRULY TRUMP slate. In 2016 I was elected and 5 other delegates to the National Convention in Cleveland, where Donald J. Trump was nominated.

In 2020 I was elected by the Republican Party as CD#1 Chairmen and the National Trump campaign requested we be fairly represented by minorities. All 6 women delegates under the URBAN WOMEN FOR TRUMP slate were elected. Unfortunately the Savannah Convention was cancelled due to COVID and the delegates voted by mail.
In 2024 I chaired the LIFE, LIBERTY and PURSUIT of TRUMP slate at the caucus and convention in Congressional District#2 (West/South St. Louis County). At Parkway West High School, we elected 6 delegates representing Donald J. Trump to the Milwaukee Convention.
I was proud to represent and lead the Trump team at 3 consecutive campaigns. Gary Wiegert
